CSAHs 1, 3 in Fifty Lakes to be closed temporarily Sunday

The Crow Wing County Highway Department announces that the intersection of County State Aid Highways (CSAH) 1 and 3 in the city of Fifty Lakes will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday Feb. 16.

Traffic will be detoured one block east to Town Hall Road.

The closure is in conjunction with local fire departments that will be participating in a practice burn of the former Fifty Lakes Store. If weather or wind conditions are poor, the burn will be postponed to Sunday, Feb. 23.

The structure is being removed as part of the CSAH 3 reconstruction project scheduled for this summer. Improvements will provide a 12-foot driving lane with 8-foot paved shoulders, turn/bypass lanes at various locations, and improved sight distances.

Contact Jory Danielson, maintenance supervisor, with any questions or concerns regarding the intersection closure at 218-822-2682 or 218-820-9922.

For more details regarding the CSAH 3 reconstruction project, or contact Steve Stroschein, senior engineer, at or 218-824-1110.
