Mount Ski Gull adds high-speed rope tow

Mount Ski Gull opened a new, high-speed rope tow on a dedicated terrain park Friday, Jan. 24.

“The new, high-speed rope tow travels at about 12 miles per hour, which is about three times faster than the chairlift,” said Dale Bosch, Mount Ski Gull executive director. “Riders can get in a lot more laps on the terrain park than they could by using the chairlift.

“The new terrain park will have an assortment of jumps, rails, stairs, boxes, bonks and other features,” Bosch said. “The new rope tow will also reduce the lines at the main chairlift — a win-win for everybody at the hill.”
