Pine River sets 2014 appointments

The Pine River City Council made appointments for 2014 at its Jan. 14 regular meeting, though appointments look a lot like 2013.

Pine River’s city attorney is Ted Lundrigan. The city engineering firm is Bolton and Menk. The PineandLakes Echo Journal is the city’s official newspaper. Jeff Melberg is the city’s building inspector.

The Pine River Police Department did change some personnel. Officer Ty Vanheerden has been promoted to fill a position vacated by former police officer Chelsey Collette, who left the city to accept a position with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Council member Tamara Hansen was absent.

In other business, the city:

• Ratified an ordinance for airport zoning.

• Discussed the need for more dining locations in the city.
