Minnesota precinct caucuses are Feb. 4

Email News Alerts

All three of Minnesota’s major political parties, as well as some minor parties, will hold precinct caucuses Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Precinct caucuses are open to the public, but to be eligible to offer resolutions, vote on party business or become a delegate, participants must be eligible to vote in the fall election, live in the precinct and be in general agreement with the principles of the political party.

At the precinct caucuses, members will elect precinct officers, discuss issues and ideas for the party to support, conduct a straw poll for governor, and elect delegates for the political conventions.

To find your precinct caucus location, as well as information on local party contacts, visit the Crow Wing County website at www.crowwing.us and click on “2014 Caucus Info” on the Elections page. Or visit the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website for more information at www.sos.state.mn.us.
