Back to Hack

A full schedule of Back to Hack events kicks off Thursday, Jan. 23, in Hackensack with the first clue to the medallion hunt released at 10 a.m. at participating businesses. Work on snow sculptures also begins.

Following is a schedule of events:

Friday, Jan. 24

10 a.m.: Second medallion hunt announced.

8 p.m.: Warm up for Back to Hack with High NRG DJ at Birchwood Char House & Bar.

8 p.m.: Dance at the Hackensack American Legion.

Saturday, Jan. 25

8 a.m.: Frost Bite Your Fanny Fun Run registration at the Visitor’s Center. Pre-registration available.

9 a.m.: Race from Lucette statue. First 50 people registered receive a stocking hat.

10 a.m.: Final clue for medallion hunt announced.

11 a.m.: Treasure hunt. Maps available at Visitor’s Center. Pick up prizes at Fire Hall by 3 p.m.

11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: Pulled pork sandwiches by Let’s Go Fishing (Thrivent Financial) at Hackensack Senior Citizen Center.

Noon-3 p.m.: Paul Bunyan Family Ice Fishing Contest on Birch Lake. $10 per person. Prizes for largest fish caught by adult and youth. First 25 fish caught receive a prize.

Noon until gone: Chili feed at Hackensack Legion.

Noon: Registration for PAMDA Penguin Plunge.

1 p.m.: PAMDA Penguin Plunge on Birch Lake.

2-3:30 p.m.: Sleigh rides by Action Entertainment depart from Lucette statue.

5 p.m.: Snow sculpting finished.

5:30 p.m.: Community bonfire and free hot dogs.

6 p.m.: Fireworks over Birch Lake.

7 p.m.: High NRG Entertainment Game Show at Hackensack Fire Hall.

Sunday, Jan. 26

Noon: Raffle drawing, announcement of snow sculpture winner at Birchwood Char House and Bar.

Back to Hack Raffle

Back to Hack Raffle tickets are available for $2 each.

Grand prize is $1,000 cash. Other prizes include $500 gift card to Do It Best Hardware, two tickets to Moondance Jam, 10 yards of class 5 from Mike’s Sand and Gravel, two tickets to Moondance Country Jam, $50 certificate to Southwide Fuel Plus, $50 certificate to Swanson’s Bait, $50 certificate to Birchwood Char House & Bar.
