Region Five Development Commission announces water well funding to assist low income landowners
The North Central Economic Development Association (NCEDA) a subsidiary of the Region Five Development Commission (R5DC) in Staples has loan funds available to lend to area landowners to replace, refurbish or service an individual household water well system. Funding provided by the USDA Rural Utilities Service is limited and will sunset when funds are exhausted.
The maximum loan amount is $11,000 and the terms are 1 percent for up to 20 years. Funding is available to assist low to mid-income landowners in our five-county region (Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena). USDA Adjusted Income Limits apply for this funding and are based on the size of the household. For example, to qualify, a four person household must have a yearly income of $49,350 or less.
