Pequot Lakes School Veterans Day program Thursday

The fourth annual Veterans Day program will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the new athletic center. All veterans in our community are invited to attend our program so we can properly recognize them for their service and they are encouraged to wear their respective uniform. All students in grades 5-12 will be part of the program and are encouraged to invite their family members who are veterans to attend. Keynote speakers include Colonel Scott St. Sauver, Camp Ripley Commander; Dr. Bob Upgaard, WWII and D-Day veteran; Captain Craig Nelson, U.S. Army. Presentation of colors will be provided by Jenkins VFW and the Pequot Lakes, Nisswa and Crosslake American Legions. This event is extremely important to our students so they can learn about the selfless service and the cost of freedom that we enjoy each day.
