Soap making 101 class offered

A soap making 101 community education class will be offered from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the home Economics Room at Pequot Lakes High School.

Students will learn the old-fashioned process of soap making using oils and lye. Each student will go home with a bar of fresh soap and a recipe/information sheet to use at home.

The class will discuss additives like goat’s milk as well as lye safety. Instructor is Abbie Schramm of B&B Goat Goods.

Class fee is $10.  A minimum of seven registered students is needed to hold class. Pre-registration is required.  For more information or to register, contact Pequot Lakes Community Education at 218-568-9200.
