Police Blotter - October 10

Crow Wing County Sheriff

BURGLARIES: Burglary was reported on the 30000 block of Highway 6 in Emily on Sept. 30.

Burglary of a shed was reported on the 20000 block of Mill Road in Emily on Oct. 4.

Burglary of a shed and a cabin was reported at Darsnek Road in Emily on Oct. 4.

Burglary was reported on the 10000 block of Blue Lane East in Emily.

Two burglaries were reported on the 40000 block of Minnie Lake Drive in Emily on Oct. 6.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Report that lights were smashed and furniture was thrown into the lake on the 20000 block of Dahler Avenue in Emily on Sept. 30.

THEFTS: Theft of a toolbox from a garage was reported on the 20000 block of South Shore Drive in Emily on Oct. 2.

A two-wheel trailer was reported stolen from the 20000 block of County Road 1 in Emily on Oct. 6.

Pine River Police Department

THEFTS: Report of a car battery taken from a Jeep on Sept. 29. The case is under investigation.

Report of a bag of ear and eye protection missing from a gun safety class Oct. 5. Two handguns were also missing. The case is under investigation.

TRESPASSING: It was reported that someone was in the library before opening hours Sept. 29. The man was located and issued a citation for trespassing.

ARRESTS: A male and female were arrested for providing a false name to a police officer Oct. 5. The male also had a warrant out for his arrest.

A man was arrested for providing a false name to a police officer and procuring alcohol for minors Oct. 4.

Nisswa Police Department

ACCIDENT: A property damage accident occurred Oct. 4 at Highway 371 and Nisswa Avenue in the construction zone. Both vehicles were driven from the site.

Pequot Lakes Police Department

FIRES: It was reported Oct. 4 that an unoccupied vehicle was on fire on Government Drive. A pine needle nest was on top of the car’s manifold. The car was recently taken out of storage, and the nest caught on fire.

A juvenile male and female were both arrested Oct. 2 on County Road 112 and are expected to be charged with setting wild land fires and arson. A resident had called in the fire, which was in a neighbor’s yard.

THEFT: Theft of a purse from an unlocked vehicle was reported Sept. 30 on Government Drive.

Breezy Point Police Department

BURGLARY: An officer was waived down and given report of a burglary Oct. 5. The report states the suspect gained entry through a back door, spending the night in the master bedroom and causing small damage to the rear door of a residence on the 9000 block of Breezy Point Drive.

Crosslake Police Department

Report of windows smashed out on a vehicle parked at the Big Pine Lake Access on Oct. 6. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

ACCIDENT: A one-vehicle rollover was reported on County Road 103 on Oct. 4. The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
