Pequot Lakes Fire Department to host open house Oct. 9

The Pequot Lakes Fire Department will host its annual open house from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Pequot Lakes Fire Hall.

Hot dogs, chips, juice, cookies and popcorn will be served.

Kids can enjoy the bounce house, fire truck rides and the Safe House, where they learn what to do in a fire, how to escape out a window and basic kitchen safety. There will be kitchen fire demonstrations, fire prevention information and tours of the fire hall.

Come and meet your local volunteer firefighters.

Also, the Pequot Lakes Fire Department will go to Eagle View Elementary School on Tuesday, Oct. 8, to teach the kindergarten through second-grade students about fire prevention.
