Crosslake residents find lost treasure

Kristin Larsen and Natalee Bray, both of Crosslake, found the Crosslake Days lost treasure Friday afternoon, Sept. 27, at the Pine River canoe access on County Road 37 in Crosslake, winning a chest full of merchandise and gift certificates from Crosslake Chamber merchants totaling more than $1,100.

Following are the clues that were released Thursday and Friday, Sept. 26-27:

Clue No. 1:

Ahoy ye mates, it’s that time of year

The fall foliage among the pines is soon to appear.

Come to Crosslake for a weekend of pleasure

Follow the clues and seek low for your treasure.

Clue No. 2:

The beauty surrounds us

the lakes and streams you hear.

The access is limited

but love has been declared near!
