WAPOA to host AIS seminar Sept. 25 at Ideal Town Hall

The Whitefish Area Property Owner Association (WAPOA) will host an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) seminar at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Ideal Town Hall.

Area DNR specialists will provide updates on the spread of AIS in area lakes.

Dan Swanson, DNR AIS specialist, and Michael Duval, DNR Ecological and Water Resources Division manager, will lead the discussion. They will provide the latest status on the recently discovered zebra mussel presence in the Whitefish Chain and current efforts to impede and control the spread of zebra mussels and other invasive species in area lakes and rivers.

Ideal Town Hall is located on County Road 16 between Crosslake and Pequot Lakes.
