Drotts to speak at Fifty Lakes Foundation meeting Friday

Gary Drotts, who recently retired as Minnesota DNR Brainerd Area Wildlife manager, will be the guest speaker at the Fifty Lakes Foundation meeting Friday, Sept. 20.

There will be a free spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m. Followed by the speaker at 7 p.m.

Drotts, who worked for the DNR for 39 years, will speak on past and current activities and duties of the Brainerd Area Wildlife work area, which covers about 700,000 acres in Crow Wing, Aitkin and southern Cass counties.

He is a lifelong resident of northern Minnesota and grew up outside of Deer River.

The meeting will be at the clubhouse of the Fifty Lakes Foundation at 40554 S. Eagle Lake Road (northeast corner of Crow Wing County roads 1 and 3 intersection in Fifty Lakes). Guests are welcome.
