Pine River United Methodist to host Heritage Days quilt show

The Ladies of the Pine River United Methodist Church will hold a free quilt show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7, in conjunction with Pine River Heritage Days.

Lunch will be served in the lower dining room.

The church is celebrating its 111th year in perhaps the oldest building in the city of Pine River. The stained glass windows, pews and bell are all original. Two years ago air conditioning and an electric lift between floors were added. Handicapped access is available from the city sidewalk.

This year the show will feature two quilts from the 1800s.
