WTC presents at Shutting Off the Taps to Teens and Young Adults

Kelly Felton with the Working Together Coalition and Lt. Scott Thompson with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were invited to present at the annual Shutting Off the Taps to Teens and Young Adults Conference on Aug. 1 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids.

For the past 16 years, this conference has focused on policy, advocacy and environmental strategies to prevent underage alcohol use and young adult misuse in Minnesota and is the only conference solely focused on alcohol policy.

The session given by Felton and Thompson was titled “Strategies to Reduce Accessibility of Alcohol in On and Off Sale Establishments.”

Information about the collaboration between the Working Together Coalition and Cass County Sheriff’s Office specifically regarding Responsible Beverage Server Training and conducting alcohol compliance checks was shared.
