Area young women to compete Saturday in pageants
Four area women will compete to be the next Miss Brainerd Lakes, and six will seek the Miss Central Lakes title when the scholarship pageants are conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, in the Chalberg Theatre at Central Lakes College, Brainerd.
Also, six teens will compete in the Miss Brainerd Lakes Outstanding Teen contest, and five will seek the Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen title.
Miss Brainerd Lakes: Emily Lundgren, daughter of Jared and Beth Lundgren; Katie Holtz, daughter of Tim and Tammie Holtz; Savannah Cole, daughter of Rick and Deb Cole; and Bailey Wachholz, daughter of Duane and Pam Wachholz.
Miss Central Lakes: Jade Hovet, daughter of Randy and JoAnn Hovet; Samantha Meyer, daughter of John and Tanya Meyer; Maggie Wothe, daughter of Jay and Tammy Wothe; Lauren Johnson, daughter of David and Shelly Johnson; Abigale Bodene, daughter of Robert and Susan Bodene; and Kami Kaderlik, daughter of Sheila Fisher and Jason Kaderlik.
Miss Brainerd Lakes Outstanding Teen: Catie Kleindl, daughter of Mike and Ann Kleindl; Molly West, daughter of Steven and Debra West; Sarah Olsen, daughter of Kurt and Joan Olsen; Kaytlin Hart, daughter of Ryan and Angela Hart; Samantha Forster, daughter of Randy and Billie Jo Forster; and Kate Smith, daughter of Allen and Kirsten Smith.
Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen: Lauren Anderson, daughter of Paul and Kimberly Anderson; Mia Pagnac, daughter of Darren and Angie Pagnac; Sage Hovet, daughter of Randy and JoAnn Hovet; Samantha Selter, daughter of Patrick and Melissa Selter; and Mariah Fitch, daughter of Tina Perrin and Michael Fitch.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the door.
Guests will include Miss Minnesota Rebecca Yeh of Nisswa and Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen Corrina Swiggum.
This is the official preliminary pageant to the Miss Minnesota/Miss America Pageant.
