Remember 9-11: Help the American Red Cross prepare for emergencies by donating blood at the Emily blood drive

A blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the new Emily City Hall (former Emily Charter School).

The drive has a goal of 135 pints to be collected.

Donors need to be age 17 or older, at least 110 pounds and in general good health. Those who are 16 are eligible to donate with a parental or guardian’s signature on a Red Cross permission form. Root beer floats will be served. This is a community project sponsored by the Emily, Outing, Fifty Lakes Lakers Lions.

To sign up to be a donor or to volunteer to work with the bloodmobile, call coordinator Nancy Moritz at 218-763-3097.
