Mud Run benefit planned Sept. 1 near Pillager

The fourth annual Mud Run to benefit the Lakes Area Disabilities Ministry will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, near Pillager.

This muddy 6K will feature three mud pits, obstacles that include slides, ropes and inner tubes, and dirt trails.

Awards will be given for the best costumes, the team with the most enthusiasm and the top three males and females. This is a family event (non-military style) and the kids get a chance to participate in either the 6K or 1/2-mile race.

Pre-registration is $25 for team members and $30 for individuals before race day. Registration the day of the event will be $35 for individuals and $30 for team members.

There will be a kid’s 1/2-mile event for children younger than 10 with a registration fee of $15 (T-shirt included). Or they may join the 6K event.
