'City of Manhattan Beach Roots' named official brief history
The Manhattan Beach City Council passed a resolution Tuesday, July 2, to name a story on the history of Manhattan Beach as the city’s official brief history.
“City of Manhattan Beach Roots” was written by resident Larry Wannebo.
The council decided to look into having the story printed on parchment paper to be posted at city hall.
Another story about Manhattan Beach was written by Nancy Mancini, which the council also discussed having on display for the public to view.
In other business July 2, the council:
• Noted that the “No ATV” sign was missing from the intersection of County Road 1 and County Road 66. The council agreed to contact the Crow Wing County about the missing sign.
• Approved a resolution from the Crow Wing County Highway Department regarding a no parking zone on the west side of County Road 66 at the Trout Lake landing.
