Nominations sought for Nisswa Citizen of the Year

The Nisswa Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2013 Nisswa Citizen of the Year.

To nominate a candidate, send a letter stating the reasons why your nominee should be considered, along with your personal address and telephone number if more information is requested. Mail nominations to the Nisswa Citizen of the Year Selection Committee, Nisswa Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 185, Nisswa, MN 56468.

All nominations must be in writing and be received no later than Aug. 19.

Nominees must have strong stewardship values whose energies are focused on the betterment of the community. They need not be a Nisswa Chamber of Commerce member, and summer residents do qualify for nomination.

A committee consisting of three previous Citizens of the Year and two chamber members review the nominations and select the new Citizen of the Year, who will be recognized at the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce Fall Membership Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 19.
