HART to host adoption event Aug. 3 in Pine River

Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART) in Baxter will host an adoption event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at ALCO in Pine River.

The shelter will bring 10-15 animals that will be available that day for adoption.

Off-site adoption events are great exposure for HART and the animals. They also give people who find it too hard and sad to go into shelters the opportunity to see, and possibly adopt, a loving shelter pet.

There will be T-shirts and other shelter items for sale as well as information on upcoming education classes.

To adopt you will need to complete an adoption application, to be 18 or older, have a valid picture ID, and if you rent you will need written consent to have a pet from your landlord (HART also confirms this with a phone call to landlord).

This time of year the intake of animals is very high at HART, and the shelter seeks help to find forever homes for the animals.
