Dogs seized in Pine River animal cruelty case


Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that the Cass County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on July 16 in the City of Pine River, pursuant to an ongoing investigation of animal cruelty. During the search, 102 dogs and 29 puppies were seized.      

The search warrant was conducted by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Animal Humane Society, the Pine River Police Department and Heartland Animal Rescue Team.
