Hunts to be honored for philanthropy

The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation will honor Lynn and Paul Hunt as the 2013 Philanthropy Award winners at the foundation’s annual dinner from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Gull Lake Center at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa.

The Hunts will receive the Award in Philanthropy for their commitment to giving back to the local community. The couple most recently founded Hunt Utilities Group, a coalition of minds focusing on research and development of alternative energies as well as ways to save energy. They simultaneously started Happy Dancing Turtle, a nonprofit group centered on environmental education.
