Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program signup deadline is Aug. 2
Trisha McMonagle, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) county executive director for Crow Wing, Cass, Aitkin and Itasca counties, encourages farmers and ranchers to enroll for the 2013 Direct and Counter-Cyclical Payment Program (DCP) before the Aug. 2 deadline.
Producers who wait until the last minute to sign up could face increased waiting time in FSA county offices. FSA will provide producers with information on program requirements, updates and sign-ups as the information becomes available. Any additional details will be posted on FSA’s website.
For information, visit the USDA website at www.fsa.usda.gov or call the Crow Wing-Cass FSA office 218-829-5965.
