Yacht club honors Madigans

Dennis and Judy Madigan, longtime co-heads of the Whitefish Chain Antique and Classic Wood Boat Rendezvous, were the guests of honor Saturday, June 15, at the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club’s annual spring dinner at C & C Boatworks in Crosslake.

The Madigans, who ran the boat show for the past two decades, retired from their positions at the end of last season, turning the show over to Bill Terry and Sally Egan, owners of Moonlite Bay Supper Club in Crosslake.

In honor of their long time inclusion of the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club as a principal sponsor of the show, the Madigans were presented with a commemorative picture of themselves leading their final “fly-by, which concluded last season’s 25th annual show.

The Whitefish Chain Yacht Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting boating and water safety on the chain of lakes since 1952.

This year’s boat show is scheduled Saturday, July 27, at Moonlite Bay.
