Touch -a -Truck is July 13

Attention all kids and adults who are really kids at heart: The Pequot Lakes Early Childhood Parent Advisory Council is sponsoring a special vehicle-based event for children from babies through early elementary school age. Join the fun on Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trailside Park next to the Pequot Lakes Chamber of Commerce building. Climb into trucks, a boat, a school bus, an RV and other vehicles. Sit down behind the wheel of the biggest truck of your dreams. This family friendly event gives children the opportunity to check out a favorite vehicle. Bring a camera to record the smiles.

The Touch – a - Truck event is a fund raiser for the Pequot Lakes School Readiness program. All proceeds from this event go to fund scholarships for children to attend the School Readiness program. Admission to the event is $3 per child. Adults attend free.

There are several child and family friendly activities planned for the 2013 event such a hourly door prize drawings, games and storytelling. There will be a selection of food and beverages to purchase, too. Come for the entire Truck Touch event or spend an hour.

Support the youngest children in the community with a boost to their educational success by participating in Truck Touch 2013.
