Crosslake Food Shelf seeks wool donations

For the past few years a benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous has been making 100 percent, all-wool mittens that she sells to benefit the Crosslake Food Shelf.

She is very much in need of donations of 100 percent wool sweaters and vests so she has mittens to sell for the summer flea markets and craft sales. Donations of 1/2- to 1-inch buttons are also needed.

Materials may be dropped off at Lakes Area Gallery and Frame Shoppe, Crosslake Hair Company, Frandsen Bank Crosslake, the Crosslake Welcome Center or the Crosslake Food Shelf during normal hours.

Mittens may be purchased year-round at Lakes Area Gallery and Frame Shoppe.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
