Email

The Crow Wing County Land Services Department has scheduled an electronics collection event for businesses in Crow Wing County from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Crow Wing County Landfill Site located approximately 7 miles east of Brainerd on State Highway 210.

This is an opportunity for businesses to dispose of any of the following electronics:

• Computer Equipment: CPUs, CD/DVD Roms, monitors, memory, networking, printers, scanners and tape drives.

• Other equipment: circuit boards, integrated circuits, precious metal scrap, wire and cable and motor generators. Loose batteries will not be accepted at the business event.

• Specialized equipment: duplication/copying, banking, bar code, communication, hospital/medical, telephone, test/lab.

Stop at the Crow Wing County Landfill office and the attendant will direct businesses to the site where the collection takes place. Workers will off load the equipment, weigh it and give you a bill of lading for your records.

Arrow Global Asset Disposition, Inc. (formerly known as Asset Recovery) will verify the equipment and invoice your company within two weeks of the drop-off, so no payment is required during the event.

Arrow Global Asset Disposition uses “NAID Certified with the National Association of Information Destruction” when destroying data.

The cost to dispose of business electronics is 35 cents per pound and Land Services pays the transportation fees. Local units of government that fall under the Minnesota State Contact may pay less on certain items.

Local businesses that plan to participate in this event are encouraged to contact the Environmental Services Solid Waste Office at 218-824-1290 so paperwork may be completed to expedite the wait time.
