Community education forum on dementia slated at CLC
The Lakes Area Memory Awareness Advocates will host the third annual Community Education Forum on Dementia from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Central Lakes College cafeteria.
The keynote speaker will be JacLynn Heron, author of “Singing Solo: In Search of a Voice for Mom.” Other speakers include Gwen Dezelske and Deborah Richman, both representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association; and Lori La Bey, founder of Alzheimer’s Speaks.
Guest panel discussion members include Pam Wachholz of Nisswa, caregiver; Dr. Mark Holub, psychiatrist; Dr. Julie Eggers Huber, psychologist; Kathy Dobson, licensed social worker; and Al Doty or Sen. Rick Nolan of the Minnesota 8th Congressional District Office.
