Council discusses future of city roads

Email

The Breezy Point City Council met in a work session Monday, April 15, for the first in a series of three roads workshops.

City administrator Joe Rudberg said by phone that much of the meeting was educational with the council learning about roads standards, maintenance methods and costs associated with building and maintaining roads.

He said the council would like to have an inventory compiled of all the city’s roads and their existing conditions; however, a full inventory will probably have to wait until the snow has cleared.

Rudberg also said the council requested that the roads standards be revised to better meet the city’s needs.

The council will have its second of the three meetings at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 20.
