Two arrested for possession of meth
Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl reports that on March 27, Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division agents, along with drug agents from North Central Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at a rural Brainerd residence, recovering 15 ounces of methamphetamine along with $4,500 in cash.
Two individuals were arrested: Timothy George Clark, 41, Brainerd, and Kayla Renae Mercado, 23, Randall. Both are charged with first-degree possession of methamphetamine and first-degree sale of methamphetamine.
This arrest is a significant for this area, Dahl said. The meth has a street value of between $40,000-$50,000. It also shows the overwhelming presence of meth in this community, he said.
LADID was assisted by members of the Crow Wing County TAC Team, Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department and North Central Drug Task Force.
