Easter egg hunts planned Saturday in area communities

The following communities will host Easter festivities for children Saturday, March 30.


The Whitefish Area Lions' event was moved from the Army Corps of Engineers Campground to Crosslake Town Square at 10 a.m. this Saturday for kids 10 and younger.

Lake Shore

Lake Shore’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Fritz Loven Park for children up to age 10.


The Nisswa American Legion will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. with pre-schoolers having their hunt indoors.

Following the hunt will be hot dogs, chips and pop.

There will be two money eggs, one for $25 and one for $10. Also the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance, so bring cameras.

Pequot Lakes

The Pequot Lakes American Legion Auxiliary and Post No. 49 will host an Easter Party for children ages 10 and younger from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30.

Children will receive a free hot dog, juice box, chips, ice cream cup and treat bag. The Legion seeks a $3 donation from those older than age 10.

All proceeds will go to the local food shelf. The Easter Bunny will be there to greet the children.

Pine River

An Easter Egg Hunt for kids 12 and younger will be at 10 a.m. at Forbes Park in Pine River.


The annual Easter egg hunt in Emily is canceled.
