Mail stolen from post office collection boxes in Pequot Lakes, Nisswa

Mail was stolen from the blue collection boxes at the Pequot Lakes and Nisswa post offices on Thursday or Friday, March 7 or 8, according to a notice posted on the Nisswa Post Office door.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people who vandalized and stole mail from these collection boxes.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455 (selection option 2), the Pequot Lakes Police Department at 218-568-8111 or the Nisswa Police Department at 218-963-4301.

All information will be kept strictly confidential, according to the postal service.
