PR-B School Board recommends Bouchonville for vacant seat

The Pine River-Backus School Board took a big next step toward filling the vacancy on the board.

After introductions and a brief interview, six candidates were reduced to four by popular vote, and then again to just two candidates.

The board decided to narrow their candidates multiple times before a final vote because they recognized that some board members might know the candidates personally.

In the end, the Board chose to recommend Leslie Bouchonville of the Pine River-Backus Family Center and mother of three PR-B graduates.

This decision is currently just a recommendation.  The appointment will not be finalized until the board meets again on February 11.

Look for a complete story on how the board arrived at its recommendation in the Feb. 7 Pine River Journal.
