MnUSA rendezvous will highlight area trails

Between 300 and 400 snowmobilers will experience the Brainerd lakes area’s extensive snowmobile trail system from Feb. 7-10 when the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association (MnUSA) hosts the 2013 MnUSA Winter Rendezvous at Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake.

A Feb. 8 VIP ride is expected to include DNR Commissioner Tom Landwehr; Sen. Carrie Ruud, R-Breezy Point; Rep. John Ward, DFL-Baxter; and Rep. Mark Anderson, R-Lake Shore.

Other Feb. 8 events include a silent auction, hospitality reception, fireworks display and bonfire.

Feb. 9 events include guided trail rides, silent auction and a banquet and awards program.

On Feb. 10, the association will conduct a members meeting and a board of directors meeting.

The event is hosted by the Crow Wing County Snowmobile Trail Association, which is made up of 10 clubs in Crow Wing County and two in southern Cass County. Full details are available at
