District 9 state Sen. Paul Gazelka, R-Cass County, introduced his first bill in the 88th legislative session on Monday, Jan. 14. Senate File (SF) 32 is a bill to exempt military pension recipients from income taxes.

This bill would be a great help to military veterans and was expected to be heard this week in the Senate Tax Reform Division, a committee on which Gazelka serves.

SF 32 has gained bipartisan support and is expected to reach the Senate floor for a full vote.
