Lobster Steamed in Beer

2 large lobster tails, fresh or frozen

1 can of beer

4 wooden skewers

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt to taste

1 lemon, cut into wedges

1/2 stick butter

Fresh garlic to taste

Thaw the lobster tails. Using a large sharp knife, split the tails in half, lengthwise, carefully cutting through the hard upper shell. Remove any veins or intestinal sacks. Place a wooden skewer through each piece to prevent curling.

Pour beer into a steamer pan and bring to a boil. Place the lobster in a steamer basket, sprinkle with paprika and salt and gently drop into the boiling beer. Cover and steam for about 8 minutes.

To serve, remove the wooden skewers and sprinkle the lobster with lemon juice. Serve with remaining lemon wedges and garlic butter for 2 servings.
