(Headline) Frigid temps put strangle hold on area, state, nation

(Caption) This intense cold created a frigid haze over local lakes this week. Feelings registered on a discomfort scale seemed colder than the minus 35 degrees shown on the thermometer, above. The squeak of frozen snow furnished further proof of the below zero temperatures throughout the lakes area.

(headline) Nisswa to demolish city hall, build new one

(caption) The unusual, pagoda-like Nisswa City Hall will face the wrecking ball in the near future, as the city council voted to demolish and build new at the site. Built in 1964, the building has always been a curiosity. The design was distinctive, but seemingly out of place in Nisswa.
