From the Pine River Journal

We wish to call to your attention it is contrary to the state law for any sawdust, shavings, chips, bark, edgings, slabs or other inflammable refuse from the manufacture of lumber or other timber products to be deposited on any public highway, portage, railroad or lakeshore or within 100 feet thereof.
