George Roscoe stopped in at the Journal office the other day to report that wild strawberry plants were in full bloom in his back yard two weeks ago, which is indeed rare for this time of year.

Fire of unknown origin completely destroyed the section house, located on the railroad right-of-way along T. H. 371 Sunday afternoon.

Voters in Wilson Township turned out in record numbers Tuesday to make a decision on incorporating a City of Wilson as a suburb to Pine River.

The Backus City Council agreed to draw a contract with the Cass County Sheriff’s Dept. at its Monday night meeting this week.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
