History Mystery photo

This combination of History Mystery items is a true mystery.

Kent Stuckmayer of Pine River said his son-in-law, Eric Barton of Janesville, found a little glass bottle with a cork top floating in the water at the Stuckmayers’ home on Delta Bay of Upper Whitefish Lake last summer.

The bottle contained a tiny black and white photo of a man and a woman with the handwritten words, “Earl & Martha Mar. 6, 1938,” as well as a cutout letter “G” and number “35.”
