DR. L.W. Foker of the State Board of Health met with village officers, members of the school board and local physicians Wednesday evening to make arrangements for an intelligent method of culturing and inoculating for diptheria, which broke out in this community recently.

A rash of accidents has plagued the area during the past week, with varying degree of injury and damage.

Cass County citizens approved the new jail bond issue by better than a 3-1 majority in the balloting on Tuesday. Total vote for the county was 2,000 yes and 537 no.

No sooner had the fresh tar been laid on the south side of Barclay Avenue than these tracks appeared! You know how kids are about wet cement!

The maples by the library went down in all their majesty as Mike Rollins and crew removed them Sunday.

A bomb scare inside the Breezy Point Resort gates forced an evacuation of the entire Breezy Point Inn and Suites complex Tuesday afternoon.

Backus Police Chief Dale Vredenburg was injured Saturday night when his efforts to apprehend a man on an all-terrain vehicle resulted in an alleged assault on Vredenburg.
