Jerry Nelson to perform Oct. 4
Internationally-celebrated concert pianist, Jerry Nelson, will be performing in concert at 6 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Backus Nazarene Church.
Nelson has established himself as one of the world’s premiere performers, having performed on all continents. He has teamed up with Dino and Anthony Burger, and accompanied such artists as Glen Campbell, Sandi Patti, and Tom Netherton and Steve Amerson. As a composer, arranger, and conductor and studio producer, he has conducted orchestras from London and Tel Aviv to Nashville and Los Angeles. His creative touch appears on over 500 recorded projects working with sons Scott and Brad.
His publishing and arranging efforts include several dozen original songs and over 5,000 arrangements.
Jerry began his career in public school music in Minnesota followed by over three decades arranging and directing orchestra at Denver First Nazarene Church, Co. But today, Jerry and Rachael are focused on a full-time concert career. Retirement, Jerry says, is not yet on the radar screen.
The Backus Nazarene Church is located at 618 State Highway 371 N.W., Backus. There is no charge for admission, free will offerings accepted. Dessert and beverage to follow.
