Manley benefit Aug. 24

On May 31, Sharon Manley was diagnosed with lung cancer. Treatments have been hard on her both physically and financially.

To help raise money for expenses, family and friends will host a dinner benefit from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Pine River American Legion. The menu includes pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans and dessert.

Suggested prices are $8 for adults, $5 for children under 10 and free for children under 3.

Raffles of donated items will be held during the meal. A freewill donation will be accepted. Bubba Lewie’s Entertainment will provide music.

To donate items or to volunteer, call 218-587-2438 or stop at Ole & Lena’s in Pine River. To donate funds, send to Sharon Manley Benefit, PO Box 256, Pine River, MN 56474.
