100 attend Pequot Lakes All-Class Reunion

The annual Pequot Lakes All-Class Reunion was held Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Trailside Center at the Baptist Church with approximately 100 guests, including the honored class of 1963, in attendance. Three women were recognized for having graduated the longest time ago. In 1939, Alma Buschmann Christensen, Violet Swenson Johnson and Dora Keprios Olson graduated from the old Pequot Lakes High School, which is now the Scandia North Apartments. Each was presented with a bouquet of flowers. At the business meeting, Betty Wallin Simenstad was re-elected as president and Joe Wallin was re-elected treasurer. Wallace “Spike” Wales is vice president and Kato McAllister Tusa is secretary of the organization. The date for the next reunion is Aug. 3, 2014.
