Grace United Methodist to host Kingdom Rock VBS

Grace United Methodist Church (UMC) of Pequot Lakes will hold Vacation Bible School (VBS) from 5-7:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 15-18, for kindergartners through fifth-graders.

Preschoolers are invited to attend with an adult helper. Older children may attend to assist the teachers.

Participants will enjoy Kingdom Rock and learn to defend the Lord’s castle.

Wednesday, July 17, participants will meet at the church and head to the Boy Scout Castle in Merrifield for an evening of archery, jousting, touring the castle, dinner and merriment. Parents are encouraged to attend that evening.

Girls should wear their Renaissance dresses and boys should bring a large, dark, solid color pillowcase for a tunic (they will cut and decorate it at VBS).

On Monday, July 15, children will prepare their medieval costumes — boys their tunics, and girls their headpieces. Dinner will be served halfway through the program.

Pre-registration is not necessary, but remember to bring a princess dress or pillowcase to VBS.

Grace UMC is two miles south of Pequot Lakes on Highway 371.
