Tom and Mary Ebnet operate the Wild Acres Game Farm and Preserve where they raise quail, partridge, pheasants and ducks for hunters.

The King Brothers’ Circus is coming to Pequot Lakes. Tickets are $1.25 for children and $2 for adults.

From the Country Echo

The Manhattan Beach summer home of Orlen Goldenstein was destroyed in a fire. The cause of the fire was unknown, but it is believed that the house was struck by lightning during an electrical storm.

With the upcoming July 4 holiday, Minnesota State Fire Marshal Wes Werner warned Minnesotans that fireworks are illegal and can result in serious injury and damage to property.

Ivan and Joy Bowen retired from delivering the Echoland Shopper and the Piper after 14 years and 190,000 miles.

Characters form Minnesota’s past will be portrayed in “Walk in My Shoes,” a dramatic Chautauqua style performance to be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at the Old Town Hall Museum grounds in Crosslake.

The Nisswa Police Department was awarded new night vision equipment valued at $15,000 through a grant.

The Crosslake Legion baseball team improved to 4-0 on the season last week by winning all three games.
