Our Savior's teens to serve others in Michigan

Five teens and three adult leaders from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes will help needy families in Felch, Mich., with home repair projects June 22-29.

Teens who will attend this workcamp include Sierra Zeidler, Shae ZeidIer, Brady Evenson, Jarad Holm and Emma PitzI. The adult leaders accompanying the teens will be Pastor Donna Olsen, Seth Jackson and Michele Zeidler.

These teens and hundreds of other young people from around the United States will attend the Felch Workcamp, sponsored by TeenServe, a non-profit corporation headquartered in Holcombe, Wis.

Every teen participant and their adult leaders have raised money to pay for the trip expenses. The six-person crews, consisting of one adult and five teens, will weatherize, repair or paint homes for elderly, low-income or disabled people.

There is no charge to these families for labor or materials.

The teens will leave with a clearer understanding of what it means to truly make a difference in someone else’s life.
