Kinship Partners seeks mentors for boys
School is done for the year and kids of all ages are longingly watching the weather and asking, “When will the rain stop so we can go fishing?”
Yes, school vacation is here and so is the rain. A lot of kids are wondering if the sun will ever become bright in the sky again.
Some are wondering if a special someone will come to the rescue, adding some much needed fun into their lives, and step up to be their Kinship Partner.
The Kinship Partners offices of Brainerd, Pequot Lakes/Pine River, Staples/Motley and Crosby/Ironton school districts have 18 boys between ages 5 and 11 seeking positive role models for the summer.
Although they desire a male influence in their lives, couples and families may also be appropriate matches for them.
Would you like to begin making lifelong memories this summer and potentially turn them into a relationship with lasting impact? There are boys right now, waiting by the window, wondering when you are going to show up and make it happen.
Load up the truck or pack up the car, make the sandwiches, grab the sunscreen, make a quick stop to get the minnows and get moving! There is a child just waiting to change your life.
Mentors are ordinary people, doing ordinary things with extraordinary results. Kinship Partners provides the support, structure and supervision needed to make sure everyone experiences a safe and positive relationship. You only need to be yourself — a caring adult, willing to spend time with a child who needs a role model.
Kinship Partners provides positive role models to youth ages 5 to 14. For more information about any of the kids waiting for a Kinship Partners mentor, call 218-454-8016 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
