Good Samaritan Society-Home Care and Hospice is introducing a touchpad system to monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, weight, pulse and temperature.

The small, wireless device has a touch-screen that displays vital sign measurements and then transmits the data to be analyzed by a nursing professional seven days a week.

The purpose of the technology is to help patients better monitor their health, helping them remain as independent as possible in their own homes.

“This new technology is a very helpful tool in addition to our suite of LivingWell@Home technologies to help people live their lives to the fullest in the place they call home,” said Kayla Farr, director of Good Samaritan Society-Home Care and Hospice.

To find out more about home care touchpad technology, or for a free blood pressure check, visit Good Samaritan Society-Home Care and Hospice in Nisswa during the Technology Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 20-24. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

The Good Samaritan Society-Home Care & Hospice agency offices are in Nisswa, and serve Brainerd, Pine River and the surrounding communities.
